He signed for the Dragons ages ago

he'll be  undisputed 1st choice there smart move for him in fairness.

With Webb out of the wales mix both he and aled will be looking for a place in the 23 if not the team.

Evans will now be a cert for our 23 every week, he will also fancy a spot in that welsh squad.

Our 3rd choice 9 will likely be a kid on the way up who won't expect to play every week or a older pro on the way down , loads of wq 9's fit that bill

Frankly, I didn't see why we would go for Lloyd Williams nor why he would want to come to us and have, again, the same situation with 3 very good scrum halves, just swapping Aled for Lloyd. It doesn't make sense from a financial point of view, we simply can't afford it. That's riches better spent in other positions IMO.

1 Xavier Rush   2 Rhys Priestland   3 David Lyons   Cardiff Blues - Scarlets, 26/09/09

More carries than any of our forwards. Priestland Fan Club Proud Member

I think we have 6 NWQ allowed and 2 time servers although to be classed as a time server you need to be below a certain age.

For next season so far i think we have
NWQ - Kruger, Asquith (played 7s for Aus), Fonotia
Time servers - Bulbring, Cummins and McNicholl

So we have 2 slots left, one of whom must be a back row player. There are rumours we might be signing a few more forwards too.

I'm not sure how it works if a player qualifies half way through a season like Bulbring and whether they still count.
