That’s what I think about today. All starts at the gain line for me. Like many French teams, the pack are proficient carriers and the back then get front foot ball. Hold them at the gain line, let it become an arm wrestle, and we will do well.

The only concern I have is the lack of proven jackalers in our ranks. Looking to Boyde really. We have depended more than most on our turnover prowess for tries in recent seasons.

I’m hoping Wyn Jones is going to contribute to the turnover count as well. He’s been excellent in this area in the past.

Yes indeed Wil the gainline is extremely important & we have been a bit hit and miss in that area so far this season. On the subject of turnovers I have noticed that they are a not as frequent this season in any games I've watched until of course Thomas Young gave a brilliant display in getting 4 against Leinster last night. Even Tadhg who had an otherwise great game against Leinster last week had no turnovers I can recall.

As for our jackalers  no side in Europe wouldn't miss Cubby but I feel that others like Wyn, Samson, Kennedy, Blade & Boyde in particular need & will step up. Hard yards are going to be key today with the weather conditions dictating events to a point. Lets see how up for the fight they are if they get no easy yards - when they get ball make it slow and get in Russell's face. Their captain & 12 Chavancy is a good player with a big heart so Hadleigh will need to pressurise him. Steff vs Thomas is a mouth watering prospect.

Not going to risk the 4 hour journey down from north Wales, unfortunately. Gutted but just too far and uncertaintly over a lot of the roads (plus lots of little ones that we take to get there!)

Who is advising not to travel?
If it's the Police the the rugby authorities are duty bound to call the game off surely???

Train companies. They've advised no trains between carmarthen and swansea after 7pm. Which is unfortunate.

I hope you are right. I'd hate to watch a mud wrestling competition instead of a game of rugby.
Mind you, mud wrestling with 30 naked women, now there's a prospect. Confused

It’s going to be tough. It’s going to be physical.
Our defence needs to be up for it and our pack need to at least be equal to theirs.
It comes down to the best performing pack and penalties imo.
We need to go hard on russell. We’ve put him off his game plenty of times before, we need to do it again.
Any chance of getting something on the scoreboard we simply have to take. Our rolling maul is not up to scratch so a penalty anywhere that’s kickable HAS to be taken.

A word for Angus OBrien. His first start for us I believe. He’s done well. This fixture could be a real marker for him. His first start and his first European Cup game. Go well.

Express your concerns!

Angus has been brilliant from what I’ve seen of him. Confident too. Good luck boi.

Boyde will have to roll his sleeves up today. Also expect a big game from blade. Good luck to Angus, he must be chuffed to go from the dragons to this.

The Premiership is as overrated as ever. In reality, it's Saracens, Exeter and the rest. Outside those two, the teams are bang average.

Also timely yellow cards affect the outcome
