Giving the 2nd string props a run ahead of the Wallabies & Springboks, it seems.
Not sure what we'll learn about Lydiate instead of Ellis Jenkins at 6, other than whether he's still got it at this level. Unless Jenkins has had a knock in training?

Both teams at 70% strength I'd say.
Wales need to be careful here. |

Warren Gatland: "Samson has a bit of a hamstring injury and has had back problems, which
he had in the summer, which he has tried to rectify. He has worked hard
to get himself in good shape, he has played some of his best rugby for a
while. He looks a lot leaner and mobile around the park. I watched him
closely versus Racing and he worked really hard. It is disappointing
that he is injured, but Dillon gets another chance, he has a point to
prove against someone like Danny Wilson, who didn’t rate Dillon that
highly. There is motivation for him to do well on the weekend.”

So then - Samson and Ellis Jenkins injured. I'm still surprised to see Smith at LH prop rather than Rob Evans or Wyn Jones - both of them better, IMHO.
Fscarlet has omitted Tipuric - his team has only 14 starters - a bit of over-confidence there, maybe? ![]() Patch not in the squad to complete recovery from concussion, presumably - fair enough. The Scots have been improving - let's hope we'll have enough on the day. |

Looking for a Scotland win against that team...several of those players aren't Pro 14 standard

I dont care what anyone says but nicky smith is not an international standard prop and anscombe is not good enough as a 10. Wales look clueless in attack and are reverting to the good old days of brute force rugby. Against a second string scitland they are struggling
