After their fantastic triumph over Racing92 in the semi final, Castres advance to the final next Saturday in Stade de France. 1st v 6th after the league stages. Montpellier are the oppo.

A supporters coach carrying 31 passengers, many of whom are under 18, crushed on the autoroute on the way home. No other vehicle has been implicated and early indications point to a tyre issue.

In the morning report, 3 supporters died, all adults. A further 11 are seriously (in hospital speak) injured.

The report is here https://www.sudouest.fr/2018/05/27/trois-supporters-de-rugby-meurent-dans-un-accident-de-bus-apres-les-demi-finales-du-top-14-5091068-773.php

Castres is a town of similar size to Llanelli. It is also a blue collar town. Many of us have been there and enjoyed the visit.

It would be good if we could send them some messages of sympathy, empathy and support.

Hopefully, Crys16 might pick this up, too.

Consider it done. The victims were members of Beaucaire Rugby Club. Beaucaire is a small town of about 16,000 in Southern France  and the club had been in Lyon watching the semi-final between Castres & Racing 92. We wish the injured a very speedy recovery.

Very sad news. Good work by Crys 16 to respond on behalf of our supporters.
I share no-one's ideas. I have my own.

As if the coach accident wasn’t bad enough, another Castres supporter lost his life in a car accident on the way to greet the team returning from Lyon at Castres Airport.

He was in his mid 20s and a well known member of the supporters groups.
