A disposizione: Leonardo Ghiraldini, Sami Panico, Ceccarelli, Joshua Furno, Francesco Minto, Giorgio Bronzini, Tommaso Allan,  Michele Campagnaro

Thanks, Mr Ian - any views on how strong a team this is? Ghiraldini on bench a surprise for me..., and maybe Allan and Campagnaro as well, but you know these players much better than we do.

I'm not so sure to know these players....at first sight  miss Campagnaro and Favaro, two of our best players at the moment.
I think national team is the reflect of clubs team results and considering that italian clubs are at last position on pro12 and no win in Champions cup, I m not so sure how could be dangerous...Is true that Azzurri ve been capable of great perfomance during the international windows but only Wales can lose this game, above all from this year bonus points are vital for try to win the 6 N's..
I expect from this year that O'Shea and Italy can compete with other teams and dont lose with deep points different, for the miracle we have to ask elsewhere

No imagination four backs out of form and one just back from injury yes a team good enough to beat Italy but nowhere near good enough to beat England.

Scarlets are well represented in that side.  Biggest contingent if my maths is right.  Well done to all. Clap

Three 3/4s, 2 front row and Jake is six. Liam hasn't left yet.Just one blue and three "foreigners".

It's not a new look at selection, that's for sure and indicative of us going into the next world cup with much the same set of players. I'd have liked to see Sam at fly half with perhaps Biggar in the centre. Just try it and see.

Jon really needs to up his game. I'd love for this game to be the one that starts off a return to the form we know he's capable of. If that happens I'll have faith we can beat Ireland or England. If not we just don't have enough to compete.

6 in the starting 15

8 in the squad of 23

Over a third are Scarlets ClapClapClap

And George was made by Scarlets, Ross will be a Scarlet and Sam D is Nige's son, so that's almost half, really. Cool

Absolutely shocking decision to select James King on the bench ahead of Thomas Young!
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1
