Hard to predict really Im sure leaders will emerge, wainwright is a possibility down the line...ken, tips, cawdor, ellis, watkin maybe, faletau...faletau is a quiet man but who knows he may yet emerge and grow into a leader. he certainly leads by example. Hes an awesome player.

I'd put money on either Dewi Lake and even our very own Jac Morgan. He's captain of the U20's this season, and is highly thought of. Dewi captained the U20's at the World Cup last year.

They'll be 23-24 when the next RWC comes around, so either could potentially captain us at the next 3 RWC's.

This of course assumes that they make the starting 15. However a good captain is essential, even though he may not be the best in his position, provided he's up to international rugby he's worth a shout.

He’s pretty outstanding at the breakdown IMO

Don't see him topping many lists for turnovers. Maybe I'm missing something but I just think he's a tidy player and no more.

Can’t believe Ellis Jenkins is 26. Seems to have been around for years but also would have sworn he was younger.

Best ability is availability and he hasn’t got it. 104 games in 8 seasons.

Elis Jenkins is one of several players in Wales whose profiles benefit from a media-led love-in.

Ellis Jenkins is a fine back rower when fit. He has also, similar to Steff Hughes, been a leader throughout his rugby career. Steff Hughes and Ellis Jenkins both lead the u20s (one took over from the other - but when they played together, it was Jenkins that had the nod).

Both even similar pro careers. both been hampered by serious injuries which has hampered development.
Steff enjoying a fine run now...Hopefully Jenkins can have that next season.

For me when AWJ calls it a day which I think could well be post 2021 Lions then Hill would be my choice to see us through to the 2023 World Cup with longer term Dewi Lake.
