Very pleased to see this. For some reason, there is no report on the Saracens game anywhere that I can find - got the score off Facebook (I think). Good to know that there is probably a strong crop coming through - including a second row, I think - from a report.

Gatland indicated if one of the scrum-halves was injured in the warm-up of a game then Scarlets fly-half Sam Costelow could act as number nine cover.

Diolch, I don't do twitter or X or whatever they call it now and there was no-one around the Arms Park yesterday apart from a parking attendant who had no idea what rugby was due.

For context we are giving about 40 guys a run in these U18 games, so teams will vary.
Blues are apparently the team to beat.

The regional U18 โ€˜ properโ€™ games are in early 2024 I think.

Although this will be good experience for some of the boys, I can't help feeling this is another chance for the Wales set-up to knacker our players before the season!!

You do realise that injuries can occur anywhere don't you? Could be in Scarlets training, Wales training, players walking on the beach....

The Wales coaches don't seek out to knacker our players intentionally.

Apologies... I thought the double exclamation mark would've highlighted that this was light-hearted. Should've used a smiley / laughy face.

No need to apologise. I suspect a lot of us sometimes feel a bit like that about team Wales these days and the sense of cannon fodder for Gats mission - whether you add !! Or ๐Ÿ˜‰. Itโ€™s full contact so should be interesting- all behind locked doors I assume. It certainly feels like a heck of a pre season with the games to come before Round 1 starts

Do our U18s usually play at this time of year? I thought they normally donโ€™t start playing until January, with the Colleges League finishing in December.

Great to see us putting teams to the sword though. Itโ€™s been a few years since we were the top dogs at U18 level.
