Are homing devices included in the trip? Embarrassed

Now there's an idea. Perhaps everyone could be issued with a tracker on the bus journey to Bristol airport. As the organiser I, of course, have total access to the data generated. Where did I put the number for the editor of the Sun.............

Just wanted to wish those going to Castres all the very best. I hope you all travel safely and enjoy. I hope that a change of competition will lead to a change in our fortunes as happened last year.

I'm planning on going to Parma for the Zebre match on 17/5/24.

Thanks very much. I will consider it a success if we get everyone there & back in one piece - anything else is a bonus. Wink

Castres luggage - the 13 taking part on the tour have the following allowances -

All 13 allowed small cabin bags 45cm x 36cm x 20cm

6 have paid for large cabin bags 56cm x 45cm x 25cm these are 1. Gareth Roberts, 2 Mark Lewis 3. Timothy Davies 4. Gaynor Davies 5. Royston Davies 6. Beverley Davies.

1 has paid for 23kgs in the hold - Mark Thomas.

You have been warned - extra luggage = money making chance for EasyJet.

Yes great advice GPR re extra luggage.
I had to pay £48 extra each way Bristol to Belfast recently.
Easyjet have clamped down massively.

My small suitcase been on many an easyJet trip no problem, but they wouldn’t let it thru this time, it was approx 6cm too big due to the wheels, I cudnt get the wheels off.
4 others in our group got pulled as well.

It seamed people taking rucksacks where all ok, but they were pulling small suitcases.

With regard to hotel costs. I was of the opinion, mistakenly, that individual rooms would be settled on checking out. However I have been informed today by Booking.com that my card has been charged with around 1700 euros which relates to the first 10 people I booked for. Therefore safest option is for me to settle all hotel accounts, obtain receipts and check/agree with each room. Probably easier in the long run.

A bit of classic money grabbing by booking agencies there GPR...good on you for plotting your way through it.

Have a great trip and bring back a W (or 1 or 2 points).

I am not getting much luck with my restaurant selections on this trip. I booked L'Eden through The Fork booking service & they are now telling me that the restaurant is showing as temporarily closed. They did not seem to understand my question - why did they accept the booking if they were not going to be open.

So revised plan is that I am going, as I always do when visiting a new city/town, to go on a recce walk early doors Saturday morning. I will visit the restaurant and look out for alternatives & report back on prospects at the game when we are all together. If the other members of the 11 can also keep their eyes open for a potential Sunday lunch venue that would be very helpful. How early doors is going to depend a great deal on Mark & my cultural visit to the Irish Bar on arrival Friday evening!!!!!!Cool
