Thanks for the 1973 Cup Final link, I was there....Cardiff were favourites as I recall.
Was a great night in the club that night!

Clive John an excellent attacking 7.
And the squad coached, of course, by Carwyn James |

For those who have Facebook, here is the 1985 Final v Cardiff. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=599539044252062 And here is the 73 Final v Cardiff (again). https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=883701795439672 The 72/73 season was immense. Beat the ABs and then win the Cup after losing it the season previous. That run of 4 cup wins must have been in no small part due to the confidence gained in the NZ victory.

Parry-Jones was gutted when Gareth Davies missed with a drop goal attempt at the death

I'll never forget that Cordle try..In those days they only used to show the second half live. I agree about Gary Pearce he was quite under rated I agree.

A totally under rated scarlets star, had a few cracking seasons with us, before heading north, beating the fantastic 84 aussies and winning the 85 cup final with a late drop goal

Gary Pearce wasn't far from Llansteffan. He was from Laugharne.

Correct. Bronglais Hospital is within a stone's throw from where I am sitting. Stevo is another 'Bronglais boy'.
