I still don’t know why we released Ed . He was still young and Welsh eligible wasn’t he and gave his all In games. It was not his wish to leave us

Agree. He'll be a valued squad player for them. As he was for us.

Are you sure it was our decision to let him go rather than him wanting to go home?

I wished him luck on Instagram and he said he'd love to come back one day.

It great for Ed, he’s got an opportunity to play for his home club, the club who he supported growing up in Aus.  He’s had 3 seasons playing for the greatest region/club in Wales and has now returned home to his home franchise, what more could any rugby player want?.
Good luck to him, I certainly enjoyed watching him play, unfortunately he didn’t get a proper run of games to showcase his talents or to establish himself as first choice in any one position (for whatever reason).  Maybe he’ll get that opportunity with the brumbies.
Good Luck Ed.

He told me he didn’t ask to go. He was never accepted as a leading player in the squad by coaches- not the style  they want or the club having to reduce playing squad ? Anyway, he’s gone and hope he gets on with the Brumbies.

Really liked him too. And Asquith. Our two Aussies. Wasted if you ask me. Where is Paul now?

I’d assumed it was his decision to return home seeing as he hadn’t signed for any other European club.

I don’t think he did enough in his performances to establish himself as a leading player. He was a useful squad player and did the basics well, but looked to have hit his ceiling, and doesn’t really have any attributes that set him apart, like Blade and Shingler do. He’s 27 soon and had been in our setup for a few years so it would be a surprise if he became an international class player from here. Good luck to him at the Brumbies, though.
