I think as time moves on we shall see factions emerge in the Tory party ..sunak , truss and Johnson ...the papers will follow their preferred candidate and all 3 candidates will try to get Tufton place and the ERG to back them ...To do this they will propose more and more far right directives in the belief that small government, deregulation of standards across the board and the take over of state required services to be privatised to 3rd party organisations run by far right supporting backers ....
All this will happen under everyone's noses as the average person will not be informed by normal news sources . This has already started with the BBC ...

By 2025 and the next election , We will have a list of party's entering the fight , but in reality the Tory party will no longer be a conservative party , it with be a far right party and the Labour party will have moved to the right and now will inhabit where the Tory's were 40 years ago ...Anyone with middle to left political leanings will have to decide what party best fits their beliefs

You could argue that Cameron was the last leader of the conservatives and Corbyn was the last leader of the Labour party

As far a labour are concerned, they must be secretly delighted that Truss and BOJO are still about and getting column inches and media spotlight as this undermines Sunak even further.  He’s already paralysed by the divisions in the party and his popularity with the electorate continues to go in the wrong direction, despite most new leaders usually getting a popularity boost when taking high office.

This Lee Anderson  Tory knob is a complete [beep], his argument with a presenter on BBC Nottingham and his glee at the death penalty etc...he is a piece of scum.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"

I am sure most people on this forum are basically honest, and try to educate their children to tell the truth be honest and when they make a pledge or promise...keep it !

Just been learning about "slippery Sunak " and co.'s  latest offerings !
Rishi has a plan, to scrap thousands of EU laws by the end of the year, triggering a full scale trade war between the UK and Brussels.
The post Brexit trade and cooperation agreement (TCA), meant that there were to be "level playing field"
provision, post Brexit, which meant that environmental protection, and workers rights would be protected.

It now appears the UK is about to renege on this , with EU considering tariffs on UK goods entering the EU single market in retaliation.
This is very worrying ,particularly, as the UK economy , according to IMF, is projected to grow slower than any other G7 country ,including Russia.

Under the TCA ,the UK agreed to maintain high standards on labour and social protection, the environment, climate and other areas, in order to maintain fair conditions for UK-Eu trade, in return for EU agreeing to tariff free access to the single market, for British manufactured goods.
Now, Sunak's axing of much of EU retained law, within the next 10 months risks triggering another Brexit -related economic crisis.

As I understood it, Boris told everyone that after Brexit, we would go on cooperating with the EU, to ensure that there were strong bonds , of "mutual trust and of mutual benefit".
This means that we would have common areas of  cooperation  , such as workers rights and environment.
Sadly, this government and those led by other Tories like Johnson have a poor record to keeping to any agreement they have pledged to.
Northern Ireland is a total mess, with the hard border issue still to be resolved.
Johnson ,as we know has a Masters degree in LYING, and he has been giving free tutorials, the latest pupil being Sunak !

This poll was comissioned by the Telegraph.

As striking as the Tory wipeout this suggests is, what is also noteable is that Labour are projected to win 80% of the seats on 48% of the vote. That's FPTP for you.

Another car crash awaits, then. Too big a majority means the extremes can go off and pursue their agendas etc….

A smaller majority tends to breed less complacency in govt.

Just my view.

Why are a pro Tory paper posting such rubbish and why are the new ukip getting such elevated levels of support .....when the hustings arrive the lunatics in the Tory party will be locked away and the Tory papers will combine to attack labour ....ordinary people who are thicker than horse poo will listen to the propoganda and react to what they are being told ....it will be a lot closer that eople expect , especially if the far left of the Labour party start a crusade against starmer ....it will be very close

I hope they don't get that big a majority. That's too much power and there's no way any party is going to reform a system that delivers them majorities like that. I genuinely hope it's a hung parliament to force an anti-Tory coalition and get electoral & constitutional reform on the table. On the other hand it might just be the push out the door Scotland needs and finally nudge a zombie UK to its end.

Great post I just wish the Oracle would do a Guy Fawkes on a Wednesday PM question time nonsense.

Was the book written  by Boris Johnson?
He tried to fool everyone,  but failed!
"You can fool all of the people some of the time.
You can fool some people all of the time.
You can't fool  all of the people all of the time"

Now the "fool " is making millions  in speeches, etc  when he should be concerned  about doing his job as a constituency  MP
