Is there any chance of any further recruitment?

I’d think that might be challenged by one or more of the following

the longer HIA 12 day period;
still having fixtures when International Training and Playing Periods occur;
as well as if the regular level of injured players remains at last year’s level.

There still appears to be confusion about the newly introduced 12 day rule. In the 2nd test against NZ Sexton was removed after sustaining a head injury. My understanding is that he failed the initial HIA. Subsequent tests the following week were passed so he was allowed to play the following Saturday. Can someone explain this for me?

As for squad size it is a real difficult balancing act and will see more opportunity for academy players and the clever use of short term loan/contract opportunities to fill the inevitable gaps in teams particularly the Welsh & English sides.

Officialy Gareth Williams as defence coach. Onestly I dont know how to rate him. I m positive from what we saw in Summer Tour vs Bokkies...
Maybe he can also be an help for our young staff.

Have little knowledge about Gareth “Babs” Williams, but as you say Mr Ian, defence against SA was decent.

The defence was rarely broken down so I see it as a positive.  Tongue
