Very much liked the look of the Argentine-brought a real honesty to his task.Less said of his team-mates in the back-row,the better. With Macleod back, and Kalamafoni fit,we can look forward to a real improvement(I'm thinking of Macleod and Lezana on the flanks).Second row is well debated, and WGJ weakness is plain to see.Big problem at hooker,I think-Ken was blowing hard early on and Elias has flaws in his game that were highlighted often enough last season.
I think JD as captain was a political choice-sad,but totally understandable I feel. However,he is very much yesterday's man:that is both plain to see and difficult to watch.

Careful Dic - some players are beyond criticism due to the number of years they have played for us!!!!!I agree with you about Foxy it doesn't make good viewing. I would get Taylor back pronto. With regard to playing Lezana, who does bring a no nonsense commitment, & Josh is that we are going to have to rely on others to get us good lineout ball. However our breakdown work will improve immensely.
Not at all you castigated Ken after just over one half of rugby this season that is wrong. He was though off the pace last Sat and clearly needs game time. Foxy is huge problem he was weak link Sat in backs hopefully he will come back to form but at moment he does not deserve place in side yet he is our Captain.
Hopefully his time with Wales will improve his form
Marc Jones is a good player who has never let us down and is under used.
Lezana looks a good player him Blade and Sione will be decent back row for Treviso. Macleod needs to be brought back slowly and extra few weeks whilst internationals are on would make sense.
I think Rob Evans is coming back to form and hopefully will be pushing Wyn hard for spot coming up to Europe.
Samson looked strong when he came on and appeared to be getting around park well.
We must now give Morgan an extended run in side as we aren’t going to sign anyone and please send Ashley back he is not the answer.

You say Marc Jones "is a good player",and you're entitled to an opinion-it's not one I'd  get into an argument over. You also say he is "underused"-in fact he's been underused for years in his spells with different clubs, not having been considered first choice. At 34 years of age he's not going to compete for 1st place now is he?Has Taylor Davies ever "let us down"?He's 26.He's from Llanelli. He can throw in.Why is he on loan to Newport?

Letting Taylor go to Newport when we have two hookers on Wales duty seems bizarre to me. Not only can Taylor throw in probably better than the two in the Welsh squad but he has good hands and carries. I haven't seen much of Sean Evans at hooker as he has been pressed into emergency back row duties but he has impressed me with his attitude & tenacity - perhaps he will get the 2 shirt on Friday.

He's a flanker and has been for most of his playing career. Capped as a 7 for Wales U20s, where he was a stand-out player. The experiment to try to make a hooker out of him is just bonkers.
What's going on?

Taylor earned regular man of the match performances when he played for the RFC. He has bulked up and I am surprised he’s not back with us with Ken and Elias being away so much.

Shaun is down as a hooker on the Scarlets website.

He’s a bit lacking in athleticism for a professional backrow player so trying him out in a position where speed and explosive power are only desirable rather than essential makes sense to me. He’s good in the jackal, and that ability is probably why they’re still investing in him.
