Mr Lewis and Mister Pickering I hereby invite your good selves to attend the 7's at Cardiff. It may do you good to hear what regional supporters think of you both.

Baz, I'm absolutely gutted to say, Lewis doesn't give a shit what Regional fans say, he just glorifies in what the "Welsh" fans think of him.

I'm ashamed of the fact that I share the same surname with the weasel.
It's not always about where you end up, it's about how you get there.

Unfortunately, only one of the few objective Media Wales reporters has taken umbrage at that comment by Gareth Davies, which was probably borne out of immense frustration but lacked the class you might hope for from someone being talked about as a replacement for Gerald on the WRU Board.

Too few engage on the subject, and those who do tend to bear the brunt of Regional fans' frustrations, which can be counter-productive.

You're the most embarrassing thing about Scarlet Fever, and most topics seem to just pass you by, much like the real reason for the mistrust of the Irish and their clear and obvious objectives.

Ban me for that if you want.

The thing is Owain, although I don`t agree with the majority of the content of TUW`s post, his opening sentence is bang on the money IMO. Twice in the last few years we`ve s**t all over the Irish and Scots to try and get our own way. First with the LV cup and then with events this Summer. Seriously, what would your reaction be if you were a Scot and this was "Glasgow Fever?".

We all know that our natural bedfellows are the English but the Aviva was never going to happen, and I still maintain that interest in the Regions has waned to such a degree that there was no guarantees that joining the Aviva would have been the panacea to our issues. I also think that the Moffett involvement has, overall, been a disaster.

Look, we go into the 14-15 season with more funding, a global brand sponsoring the league and Sky television televising it. We are so much better off than we were this time last season. What we need to do as a club is start playing attractive rugby and start winning competitions. The clubs/Regions v the WRU has been going on for over a decade now and if truth be said, we`ll probably be in the same position in 10 years time. It`s the Welsh way.

Sensational post sir.

Everything you have said is 100% correct.

The WRU ard under the impression that having a successful national team and poorly performing regions alkng with the assurance of certain player release via the IRB regulations will give them the higher ground to dictate the terms of any new agreement.

This is why such poor offers have been put forward in terms of conditions/funding.

The biggest voice that any sports team has is their performances on the pitch.

If the regions make a strong start to the Pro12 & European competitions, this would send a huge message to Lewis and his crew

Rob Davies, Ospreys backer, says in the same paper that they had an agreement with warren Gatland but that was ripped up afterwards by, I presume, the WRU.

I'd broadly agree with your post, and I more than understand why you came to that conclusion. I think we've been forced into a position where we've been the troublesome members of Celtic rugby by poor governance from the WRU and historically from the regions. But, as you say, the notion of Celtic rugby is a myth and holds no commercial interest or interest amongst the general public. Any agreement with the WRU is just one step on a much longer road.

The way the Irish present themselves on rugby forums leaves a lot to be desired too.
