And the cards came as a result of our pack's dominance. We had a young and very inexperienced pack on the pitch for most of the second half but they completely outplayed the baa-baas.

The eight forwards on the pitch for the last 20-25 minutes were: Kemsley, Lewis Morgan, Harri O' C, Jac Price, Scragg, Shenton, Ben Williams, Leatherbarrow. They did the hard stuff, got stuck in and utterly frustrated the Barbarians. That was the most impressive and encouraging bit of the game.

Reesy badly obstructed in the queue to the bar started the fracas, I understand, so punch up is probably overstating it.

Ioan Lloyd is class, we got a gem there. Plumtree as well was superb.
Lineout poor, scrum average. Wyn played tight head at start of game. Not sure where wainwright was.
Backs look sharp, handling excellent at times and defence set up good against a big physical quality babas team full of fringe auusie test players who had 2 games under their belt.
Thought back 3 had pace, Johnny mcnic seemed much quicker, and costelliw and Tom Rogers.
Foxey looked fitter and lighter too.
Jac price scraggy and Morgan showed up well against big mwn
Ben Williams has skills to push on.
Also enjoyed young players who came  on.
Final mention about 2 players who played for babas, rob evs and Aaron shingler. Nice seeing rob play but Aaron was excellent. What a player and person. Nice final game for him.. Thank you Aaron

I thought it was 4 YC's. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Was a great performance, lineout was very ropey and needs work because that would be far from good enough in a competition match. Aside from that though, there was plenty to be positive about. Let's hope it's an early sign of good things to come this season.

Shingler did well when he came on. It's a shame he decided to retire as I feel he has at least one more season of good rugby in him. Totally understand his reasoning though, given what he said about sometimes struggling to move the day after game day! Also would I'm sure have taken a sizeable pay cut had he signed a new contract, like many others have had to.

Nice words from N14 and Turkishrebel regarding Aaron Shingler.
I spoke to him end of last season  and clearly he feels his body has come to the end of line regarding , the demands of a whole season.
It was however great to see him on the field today, for probably  the last time.
Outstanding  Scarlet,  and it has been such a pleasure  to see him play over the years.

Didn’t think the match was played in the true spirit of a barbarians game at times…Rob Evans & Kemsley Mathias had more than a ding dong and then at the end I thought it was going to go completely off. Anyone know the reason why it was so niggley?
Well it was back in 1884.... when we wore the colours for sure !! From Fiji to the Wallabies they all know where we're at........... The 72' All Blacks, they'll tell you that!!

Dwayne said that it wasn’t the true BaaBaas spirit of game…..but the crowd quite liked that.

The Barbarians were mainly Australians, many of whom had been playing together as Australia A before joining up, so they weren’t the typical “thrown together” team.

I missed Rob Evans and Kemsley Mathias. I’m sure they used to lift share every day as they’re both from the Haverfordwest area.

They were talking after the game on side line. Think it kicked off elsewhere. They were big and physical and thought we would get well beaten especially after they had beaten Northampton and Bristol well but we were the better team.
Really surprised and quite optimistic. We will not win cups leagues for some time but and this is the thing we will play good quality rugby with young players who want to play for the club

I thought that was normal, even in my 20's.  It was a toss up between which was worse, a sore body after the game or a sore head after the post match activities.  My wife once said to me on a Sunday morning when I was struggling to get downstairs, "Why do you do this?"  My answer, "Because it's fun and what we do."  She shook her head and gave me the look that said I was wrong.

Maybe Rob was upset at the new upstart taking 'his' old place.  If so, that passion came a season or 2 late for him and his ambitions.
