They seem to be all the rage these days with people ticking things off to either see or do before they shuffle off this mortal coil.

I visited Niagara Falls recently and ticked off another from my list having already done the obvious European sites of the Eiffel Tower, Colosseum, Brandenburg Gate, Pompeii and Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
Others on my list were the Grand Canyon, Borobudur Temple near Yogyakarta in Java, the Sphinx and Pyramids, the Statue of Liberty, Kennedy Space Center in Florida and a visit to the Capitol Building in Washington DC.

I'd love to see Mount Rushmore, the Taj Mahal and Victoria Falls. Funnily enough, I have absolutely no interest or desire to visit Australia or New Zealand.

Many people haven't visited sites in their own countries and in the UK, I'd love to visit Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.

What lists do others have? Where is the one place left in the world you'd like to see?

Would like to visit San Francisco, New Orleans and New York City in the US plus everyone raves about New Zealand. Few places in the UK as well, never been to Stonehenge, for example.

Just from reading this thread I've now found out about this Harbin Ice City place - very interesting.

Oh yes, and the Northern Lights in Iceland maybe?

Shame on you having no interest in visiting New Zealand, I'm telling my wife, so god have mercy on your soul when you see her next!!!!
Seriously though, my list would include;
The Great Wall of China
Machu Pichu
The Great Barrier Reef
The Serengeti
Rome
It's not always about where you end up, it's about how you get there.

Have you really never been to Rome, Ian?

I agree with you about the Great Wall and with the Doc about the Northern Lights.

Get out of Swansea would be a good start.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"

Interesting mix of Chinese and Russian culture, apparently, and those ice sculptures look amazing.

Oh, that reminds me: Moscow and St Petersburg. Unless playing Metro 2033 counts?

Now that's a very welsh answer!

One odd thing is I've never actually been to North Wales. People here always assume that's where I'm from (as it's the closest bit to Sheffield) but never been myself. Am told Snowdonia's lovely.
