I remember a segment on his radio show, about growing up in Carmarthen, and going to stradey as a boy.
It was really nice ! Just like Paul O' Grady( a sad loss), Wynne is a genuine , humble guy. His success, and remarkable lack of confidence initially, should be a great motivation to the rest of us. I enjoy cooking, but it's not quite GPR Rochester standard, leave alone Masterchef

So nice to see a Scarlets fan win while coming over as entirely likeable.
Few celebrities have that depth or appeal, nor maybe talent. His success was so good to see.

I am not a huge fan of continual cooking programmes.
If however I can learn, and the chef's make it reasonable and straightforward, I will follow and occasionally make what I have seen. Another of my pet hates, celebrity dominated programmes, its like an infestation which needs treating Have however, followed the recent celebrity Masterchef series however, mainly because of Wynne Evans. With a few blips, Wynne cooked superbly throughout... and he desevedly WON ! His final creations showcased Carmarthenshire products ..cockles, welsh lamb, and bara brith. His total pride in his roots and what we have to offer is touching, and he is always modest and passionate. His curry and chips were WAW.  Wynne's mother ran the Lyric in Carmarthen prior to her death, and since Wynne and his brothers have had continued involvement. I listen to his radio programme occasional and love his humour. So happy he won, so hopefully, a good omen for Sunday !
