The Fijian missing last minute kick will cost us dear it would have deprived Aus of bonus point.
Don’t fancy our chances against Aus they will pick themselves up and be firing on all cylinders. We have no props to put on bench the non selection of Wyn could cost us dear. Hope to god no injuries to Cawdor or Rowlands or a centre or we in deep doo doos. Having said that we could even beat Aus and lose to Georgia that would be typical Welsh rugby |

Australia’s discipline yesterday was shocking, 18 penalties in all and a at the breakdown. Pressurise them in that area (as Fiji did) and then let Biggar or HP kick the penalties.
However, despite playing so poorly against Fiji they still managed to stay within 7 points and out score Fiji 3 tries to 1, so even with little possession they can still keep the scoreboard ticking. As long as we start with halfbacks from the first game and centre partnership we should be too strong.

Aus were very poor yesterday, possibly the worst performance I have seen Aus give in recent memory.
If we stay disciplined and calm, (asking a lot), we should win against that team, but we have a habit of self destruction late in recent games which had been cured in Gats' first tenure. I don't see us conceding 4 tries unless we get carded heavily, so discipline will be a key factor. I would pick Jenkins over Beard personally, in view of his greater hustle and mobility, but leave the team otherwise unchanged, hoping that Biggar is fully fit to play.

Some are born lucky I guess! Ken talking about his taking Samson to London for the first time on Jiffy’s show was very amusing . I can imagine. No ferrets in Knightsbridge ! 😉

Reasons to be cheerful
These players have stood out rowands, morgan, faletau, cawdor, North , LRZ and adams All these are capable of world class moments ,this can make us dangerous But the front row has been ropey, beard doesnt do enough I prefer jenkins and wainwright needs a big game Biggar hopefully can go out with some glory hes a good strong character with lots of bottle Liam needs to sort his head out and cut out the endless stupid errors Tompkins hot and cold needs to focus on errors or he will be replaced Lineout is a huge achilles heel we must sort that or theyll ruin our set piece ball

He's cleaned me out already mun...I'll get my own back on him on 'Jonathon' on Thursday though....me and my oldest have the most cunning of cunning plans .... ![]() My 18 year old son is also cleaning me out on the RWC fantasy league too...he's like 300th overall or something...and picking players based on their surnames and kits he likes....like yesterday he picked Grant 'Williams' and made him his captain and tripe point scorers just because they have the same chuffin surname! 240 points or something like that....it's tough being a dad bois. |

I do believe that we can win against Australia and actually being in France will be better for us as opposed to the cauldron and pressure effect that the Millennium has. Which will hopefully negate all the brain squashing maths and variables

It’s very possible that 3 teams will end up on 16pts.
It’s a bit of a charade if that happens. I have elected to go with Wales beating Australia and Georgia and topping the group. It’s far easier on the brain. |

The last two matches in our group are Wales/Georgia on 7 October and Fiji/Portugal on 8th, so if it comes down to points difference both countries will be at an advantage compared to Australia, particularly Fiji.

[QUOTE=Kentexile]If we lose to Australia then assuming the other 2 teams aren’t in the mix then the head to head outcome falls away as all teams will have one win against the other teams if tied on eg 16 points
In that case it goes to points difference or as world rugby puts it
Looks right to me Mark.

There is a possibility that we, together with Australia and Fiji, could finish level on points. How would placing be decided in that case?
