Unfortunately Llanelli couldn't make it through to the semi finals of the Swalec Cup but Llandovery managed to do so by beating high flyers Ebbw Vale in a keenly contested encounter. They will be flying the Region's flag in the semis joining Pontypridd, Aberavon and Cross Keys in the draw. I myself will do my best to support them in there quest in trying to achieve there goal of getting to the Millenium.stadium. Let's get behind them if we can.

I'm sorry but I follow ebbw vale and they made them look very ordinary for the entire 80, ebbw should of been 20+ up after half hour but bottled their chances !! All Llandovery created was a turn over on their line and a break away try, that was one of the few occasions they got into our 22 !! I don't know if ebbw vale are truly that good or did they make Llandovery look bad but if they play like that against any of the others they won't be winning any more games !! The ebbw pack was all over them so if they draw ponty I can't see them going further

I'm not totally surprised as Ebbw are running away with the championship. I'm sure they will be very competitive in the premiership next season. However that doesn't detract from the fact that we have a representative in the semi finals who need our support.

Yes, this will be their 4th championship on 4 years since going down and have rebuilt well !! They will cause a load of shocks next year that's for certain, I don't dispute the fact and will support anything from around the scarlets

Nice to see them doing well. I follow Narberth and know that Ebbw are head and shoulders above anyone in that division.

They didn't deserve to go down all them years ago really. Saying that it isn't really fair on the other teams that 4 years in a row it's been a one team race !! Something should of changed a few years ago

I have to agree with GwentScarlet2 - Ebbw Vale should have won that game comfortably.  And even when it was obvious Ebbw were going to lose (after the Drovers flukey try) they continued to play well and got a consolation try at the end.  The Drovers are suffering a bit of an injury crisis at the moment, and lost two more players on the day, but that's not really an excuse.  Ebbw will be a real handful next season in the Premiership.  They will need to improve their attack against more organised defences, perhaps - they should have gained far greater reward for the pressure they were able to exert.

Given a few recoveries, the Drovers could still make it to the final, but not if they draw Pontypridd (especially away) in the semi-finals.  Pontypridd have dominated the premiership to much the same extent as Ebbw have the championship.  Encouragingly, though, there are some aspects of deja vu compared with the year we won the cup.  All the other semi finalists will be hoping to draw the Drovers!  Smile
