Sorry for the lack of knowledge but is this comp still about next year?

If so how does the qualification work for RFC/Quins/Drovers....?

There was talk of an what was effectively an Scarlets region 'A' side playing in this next year?

Grateful for any knowledge. Ta.

all i've seen is this from the Argus -

Cross Keys will now regroup over the summer before once again battling to be part of the British and Irish Cup before the Premiership kicks off .

The cross-border tournament is set to continue next season and once again will feature a representative from each region.

Keys, finalists in 2012, are set to host Ebbw Vale and Newport will head to Bedwas with the winners clashing for the right to represent Gwent.

Thought we heard last season that from next season on, it would be Scarlet A to avoid the issue where players from other clubs wouldn't wear the Llanelli badge last season. Scarlet A should exist anyway IMHO.

Why were players from other clubs expected to wear a Llanelli badge?  Either way they should be honoured to be given the badge. Anyone refusing to wear it should be forced to pick up litter in Ammanford for the rest of their lives. ....and they should be forced to live there.

Why?

If you are a Quins or Drovers player in the league, why should you be expected to run out for Llanelli in the B&I and consider it an honour, after all they are your competition week in week out.  That would be like us failing to make Europe but having Scott run out for the Ospreys kit for them in Europe instead, whilst playing for us in the Rabo.

A Scarlets A side would surely make more sense.

I think if players were that small minded, they need to grow a pair frankly, your could swear they were 10 year olds. If Llandovery or Quins had qualified, they would have had the pick of the crop being the `regional representatives`. Fairly fed up with the bleating that eminates from the Quins in particular.

You just know that the semi-final is going to be played at the same time as the Gloucester friendly.

It would have been much easier and fairer to field a Scarlets A side. Then we would compete with Munster A , Leinster A etc on an equal footing. Could someone remind me why this wasn't possible?
