The match is a sell out.

There’ll be about 32,000 in the stadium on Saturday.

It’s a very small world with Scarlets fans everywhere, well not quite.

Went to lunch at our favourite restaurant in the middle of nowhere in a village of 83. When you tell someone you’re eating there, they ask is it lunch or dinner? If you reply « lunch » they say « that’s good. You won’t need to watch out for the wild boar in the dark »

In the middle of our meal, the table by us was speaking a mix of English and French before there was some Welsh. Add in the words, Sale Sharks, it was clear they were rugby fans. Then I heard « Scarlets » and we had to go and say hello.

It turns out that the couple of Scarlets fans live here permanently and come from Swansea, partly. Scarlets through and through. The restaurant is also their favourite.

They’ll be at the match on Saturday. Thumbs Up

Seems like we’re on the same flight as the team. Mrs Wasp is more excited than me about that for some reason 🤔
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

Probably too late to mention now, but before a Euro rugby trip over two decades ago, I got to hear about a Welsh woman (Cowbridge I think) and her Kiwi husband owning a vineyard in the Bordeaux area (Graves).

So I went by myself a day earlier and arranged to meet them. They were lovely, the husband took me out for lunch and I bought some bottles of wine too.

About 40 minutes from the stadium is Chateau du Seuil. Worth a look.

Yes, Nicola & Sean Allison.

They’re great, as is their wine, although last time I looked their own website wasn’t up and running. Some great visits and wines. They took over from her parents. A Welsh Dragon on every label.
