A very good point, but unfortunately he would have just said that you will have to wait for the report to be published.
I didn’t know until yesterday that the leader of the opposition is only allowed to ask the PM 6 questions during PMQs. I presume there is no limit to the number of stupid (time wasting) questions that Tory ministers are allowed to ask though. The questions that they ask the PM (which usually is along the lines of would the PM like to thank the minister’s constituents for something they have done, or would the PM like to visit a new venture which probably received a massive amount of government funding) could surely be done in private, and that would free up a lot more time for politicians to ask questions about far more pressing and important things that actually have an impact on everyone in the UK. |

It would have been a wasted question as Boris would have denied it. It was asked later on Wednesday at the daily press conference at No 10 who confirmed that he did not see or initiate the invite. Do we believe that though ? That's the issue now. |

This column makes the point that it definitely was Boris that arranged the party a million times better than I could. It should perhaps be stated at this point that it wasn’t definitely the prime minister who organised this hundred strong party in Downing Street. The invitation, to “socially distanced drinks” to “make the most of the lovely weather” were sent by Martin Reynolds, the principal private secretary to the prime minister. The invitation also begins with the word “we”. So it may be that Mr Reynolds a) decided to invite a hundred people to an illegal party in the prime minister’s garden without his permission or even knowledge (but also invited him, and he clearly attended it) and b) likes to describe himself in the first person plural for no apparent reason. Either that or the whole thing was Boris Johnson’s idea in the first place. https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/boris-johnson-drinks-downing-street-b1990572.html |

The suggestion that Boris didn't know about the gathering would make him look even more stupid than he already does. He is the PM & what happens in No 10 is his total responsibility. If staff did not understand that organising gatherings which were illegal at the time were wrong then what sort of leadership was being given from the top man. He is a dead man walking.

The latest story about the party on 16th April throws the Met under a bus. The account in the Telegraph mentions a 'suitcase' full of booze.
Are we really to believe that the Met allowed a full 'suitcase' in to No 10 without asking what was in the said 'suitcase' ? They are really taking the public for fools !

In defence of Boris it, can be really difficult to tell the difference between a booze up and a work meeting. This, for instance, is what one of his cabinet meetings to discuss the rise in energy prices looks like -

Not having this criticism of Boris. Batted through Christmas going to one mash after another, then had to go to funeral when hanging.
What a trooper. |

An act of pure narcisism by Johnson if true and one of self destruction by the Boris loyalists.

Not a Boris fan, but here in Wales we don't follow Boris. Our rules are made by drakeford. Secondly No politician can be trusted.
Stephen Kinnock travelled to London from port Talbot during the lock down to deliver a birthday card. Snp Margaret Ferrier travelled from London to Scotland on train during lockdown and was also positive of covid. Ian blackford travelled from Westminster to Scotland during lockdown. Mask drakeford caught dancing in a party in lockdown with obeying to his rules, no mask either And stamer caught having parties during lockdown. They are all just as bad as each other

No theyre not, Boris and his kronies have broken all trust all rules , theyve lied endlessly about the rules the contracts the parties, totally undermined the scientists the nhs with their self irresponsible law breaking behaviour for the past 18 months. Perhaps the most disturbing part is just exactly how deep in the mire are the met police in this unholy stink?

The Met are in this as much as the Tory party.
Boris gave his backing to Dicks following the furores over their handling of the Black Lives Matters protests, their handling (or lack of it) of the police officer found guilty of Sarah Everade, so she will do anything in her power as head of the metropolitan police to support Boris, including finding no incriminating evidence of any wrongdoing or law breaking. How come the police who offer 24 hour security to Downing Street never though that people coming with suitcases of booze or people leaving late into the night or into the early hours we’re doing other than partying. Some of the labour ministers are now saying what I said on this thread a few months ago, they say that the longer Boris stays in post the better for Labours popularity in the polls.
