The Dragons with the billionaire on board you mean?

Does this clermont defeat mean that they will be seeded 2nd?

There could be some monumental groups next year.

The hatred for Clermont that mysteriously started this season goes on.

Not here.
Perhaps it's just the tail end of the three losses over consecutive weekends - the two matches plus their home record run.
At the start of the season with the Vern Cotter Scotland thing, maybe it's not such a surprise.
Looking forward to seeing how they will do next season, preferably from a European pool distance from us!

As I posted on Foxys` thread, he is going there on their downward curve, what is the beginning of a pretty big rebuilding period for a club with an ageing, set in its ways squad. I`ve listed the players who were 30 and over who were in the squad against Castres. He`ll make his money and good luck to him but as a rugby move, I think he too could be in for a very difficult 2 years (although I appreciate anyone who argues that it couldn`t be more difficult than playing for us Big smile).

Starting XV

lee Byrne - 33

Sitiveni Sivivatu, - 32

Aurelien Rougerie - 33

Brock James - 32

Gerhard Vosloo, - 35

Julien Bonnaire - 35

 Nathan Hines, - 37

Jamie Cudmore - 35

Davit Zirakashvili - 30

SUBS

Ti'i Paulo - 31

Vincent Debaty - 32

Julien Pierre - 32

Michael Delany - 31

As much as I'd love to revel in the downfall of any French club they've replaced King with Foxy, Byrne with Zac Guildford, Hines with Vahaamahina and the guys in their early 30's should be ok for a few seasons, got a feeling they're going to cope ok.

Yes, in the end if things don't go to plan early next season they can always buy themselves out of trouble. The big bollox that they are.

As has been mentioned, they'll replace who whey deem surplus to requirements with quality players who've proven that they can play rugby, not take a punt on someone or expect a youngster to take up the mantle.

Nice position to be in.

Good analysis Pimp and follow up from Gate, Chips and Haydn.

The relatively bottomless pit of a credit line/actual wealth makes the problem solving all the easier. Must admit, I've forgotten who the new coach is and CBA to look. It'll still be a great place to go! And, somehow, they'll muddle through.

Re the top14 semis, it'll be very interesting. Who's to say what real value Castres's win last week has? We might see after the weekend. It'd be a huge thing if they successfully defended their trophy from last year having had new coach installed. What price a final between Castres's old joint coaches and their new one?

Not sure about hatred, jealously perhaps. Mind you after watching the Perpignan game on TV, I was appalled at how unsporting their fans are. They boo more than Ponty fans.

They're going to have an amazing half back centre axis.

9. Parra
10. Lopez
12. Fofana
13. Foxy

I could watch that all day long.
