Anyone else see S4C's Rygbi'r Colegau last night? Despite losing a good few players to the Wales U18s and being up against a much bigger Coleg Gwent side they still managed to score 4 tries to 1 and win 27-7 playing into the teeth of a gale and with a yellow card in the second half. I wish the Scarlets would show half the enterprise and handling skills of these boys. They were quick thinking and quick footed and apart from an almost suicidal urge to run everything from their own line even when a man down they were a pleasure to watch.  Scrum half Gareth Rees and inside centre Morgan Griffiths were particularly impressive and both scored tries along with winger Dai Trehearne who got a couple.
They'll be quite useful when they have the full side out!!

CSG have a very handy side when everyone's available.

They beat Millford College a few months ago IIRC - no mean feat.

A lot of the Scarlets and Llanelli players have come through the college I believe.
Think, think, think - it's a thinking man's game!! - The Great Carwyn James.

Coleg Sir Gar has been superb development tool for the Scarlets Academy and the Scarlets ,and there is a number of the present squad who will wear the senior Scarlet shirt .

Some excellent result for the College in last nights screened game, the team was well under strength for the fixture through Welsh under 18s call ups .

U18's national head coach Allan Lewis has encouraged in U18's and younger a philosophy for teams to pressurise their opponents with ball in hand and to try all options before kicking, this approach is clear in our age grade and indeed with Coleg Sir Gar. It's great rugby to watch.
