You could also try registering for the NHS app and maybe Airmid to see patient records. It’d be a test of record keeping.

Interesting approach in Germany with non vaccinated people being refused entry to restaurants, pubs & cinemas. That'll go down well. Under 70% vaccine take up is worrying. Again more good news today with the report on the efficiency of our booster programme using both Pfizer and Moderna. Both score very highly in getting protection up to around 93%.

I was a huge critic of the government's initial slow reaction to this pandemic from the point of travel lockdowns and PPE but I have to now give credit for the success of the vaccine planning & rollout. As of today we look better prepared for Xmas than most of our European neighbours.

Not what we'd describe as a fair test. Other factors uncontrolled. To what extent have other preventative measures been rescinded or otherwise faded away?

Hard to ignore the facts though, infections are still rising even amidst this 3rd vaccine roll out, from daily infections of 40579 on Nov 1st to 44,450 today. However death rates and hospitalizations though have fallen considerably over the last 30 days, daily deaths from 170 to 121 per day and daily hospitalizations down from 1028 to 750. Throw in the new variant and it seems critical to tighten the rules and advice.

The germans are making it compulsory that any shoppers must be vaccinated or they get no entry. The same will soon happen imo across europe. The WAG was wrong to allow carers and nhs workers to carry on working unvaccinated. Drakeford made a right horlicks of that. The counter argument that some staff may leave, so be it. Some may actually join too knowing the environment is safer and every staff member is jabbed

Just making the point that it's difficult to make inferences from the data because so many factors are at work. Best use proper medical studies - Dr Martinov posted a good one recently.

The Passe Sanitaire has worked extremely well in France.

Nobody can enter a restaurant, bar, cafe etc without one of these, unless they’ve Ap had a covid test in the last 72 hours.

Simple

Weve had the the highest or second infection rate in the world for pretty much every day for about 3 months?  We have never had such a co-ordinated approach between our councils and police as France, China or other Germany etc Surely they should have been dispersing large crowds outside pubs and clubs over a year ago. The least we need to do is to ensure that everyone who enters pubs clubs perhaps entire shopping estates like Trostre is to have security guards at the entrances to shops or car parks, checking vaccinations passports on each shopper, but thats one heck of a big onerous task... Why we took away masks from mass gatherings goodness only knows. Night clubs have been closed in some european countries our remain open and maskless.
