I appreciate that Mr Reddin does not start officially full time until September but he has already outlined some interesting thoughts about the future head coach. From what I have read it is pretty clear that a Warren Gatland type would never be considered by Reddin.

The my way or highway is not for Reddin. Many of his comments are directed at a collective approach with his main focus being that the head coach must pay a lot of attention to the talent pathway, have a good working relationship with the regions and therefore their academies.

Another interesting comment aimed clearly at Gatland is that the coach must be based in Wales & that its a full time post which cannot be achieved remotely. Interesting stuff.

Most encouraging as well as a shot across the bows of the board and its record.

Yes I thought that too Steve. Early days & all that. From his comments I would suggest that Stuart Lancaster, with his resume which features a lot of work in his early career with pathways & of course his work with a high performance team like Leinster, would be a front runner.

His demise at Racing is also interestingly deemed to be a success as nobody worth their salt could stand working with their owner for long.
