Does Islam frighten you....?

Serious question.

 

Organised religion is the cause of most wars, bigotry and deaths in this world. Control through fear is the running theme of virtually every belief. Religion is used to kill, intimidate and make money, that's the brunt of it. It's notjust Islam, most religions can be held up as fearful. Purely because they have so much power and influence they can literally command people to their deaths.

I'm not sure that fundamentalism, hatred, violence and/or terrorism is unique to factions of Islam by a long way

Not true,and you need to go beyond the last ten years to put this in
some kind of context.
Western governments have always put political expediancy above all
else. Back in 1985 Reagan, was happy to destabilise Soviet control in
Afghanistan, supplying military hardware and intelligence to the
Mujahideen, hence the abundance of Sidewinder missiles etc in the
region to this day. I might add he was ably supported in his Jihad by
our very own Mrs Thatcher.
