I tried to find a video of Gareth Edwards breaking the ref's leg in 1970, but can only find a mention of that in the text. These videos still show some of the great man's best tries, including the astonishing 80 yard effort v Scotland (I was there!):

what was even more of a fail was that the white team tackled him with 30 yards to go... should have tackled him on the 1yrd line and would have got 1st and goal on the 1 yard line... or let him run to the end zone got two points for a safety and got the ball punted back to them...
