James are very much alive...Saw them in April ...Top drawer

Renegades and feeder are the same thing but Renegades are far heavier if that makes sense !....Apparently it,s Feeder refinding themselves ...All i know is that they were excellent

Kids in glass houses are ok, love the foo fighters (but prefer Nirvana), seen Sterophonics a few times in the early days, first 2 albums are great but gone downhill bigtime since, so your taste aint that bad

Don't know if I should admit this but here goes ! I'm off to see Knopfler at the CIA 26/5 on the Get Lucky tour. I think it will be the 8th time I've seen him.

Would also like to see Jan Akkerman again sometime this year. Seen him at least 4 times.

Respectively: Yes, not a fan, in their day but that's long gone.

I only see Megadeth as metal really, other two are hard rock.

Obviously a proper Metal Head dr_martinov, i dabble myself so whats your view on the following, W.A.S.P - Saw them live a couple of years back, bloody awful they were.
Slayer
Anthrax
Sepultura (with Max and Andreas)

WASP - terrible glam metal

Slayer: yeah, I'm a fan. It's close between them and Megadeth out of who tops the big four for me. Prob would edge Slayer because Megadeth are more a one-man act (but that man is AMAZING, especially live) and Slayer are heavier. Metallica get massive credit for getting people into metal - they're that vital link with the mainstream. People like me listened to the Black Album and then Kill Em All and never looked back at anything pop or indie. Anthrax I've never really given a chance. Listened to one album and found his vocals too 80s.

Both Sepultura and Soulfly I used to listen to a fair amount but that seems very "phasey" now.

Lamb of God, Cancer Bats, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, NOFX, Overkill (if you can get past his singing) are some of my other favourites.

Onslaught deserve a mention - them supporting Testament was the perfect combo! Saw them solo in Swansea with about 20 other people there recently as well. I know they're not the best by any stretch but I really enjoyed Killing Peace (2007) - surprisingly good album.

Love Dave Mustane, the guy is a legend and has the biggest ego in the known world and beyond probably, saw Onslaught last year supporting Testament, the bassist from Onslaught is one of my Facebook friends, nice guy. Have to say when it comes to Metallica it has to be Ride the Lightining for me.
