The key question here is how does one set up a poll, more importantly, does Scarlet69 know?

I've voted Playstation. That was a game changer - Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Tekken, Ridge Racer, Gran Turismo. The bollocks.

But, special mention to the melted MegaDrive and the Pit Fighter game that both met untimely deaths at some point during the two-week period which they were left on for.

God bless their epic plastic meltedness. And the fact that they didn't burn down my parents house.

PS1 purely for Lara Croft and her orgasm moan when she fell on spikes and also memories of bruised thumbs from Jonah Lomu rugby whos only weakness was the ball going out on the full whenever you kicked it and the lottery of the lineouts. Bill's sayings also deserve a special mention, "That's a huge up and under!"

i nearly voted for master system or mega drive. sonic, operation wolf, golden axe, alex kid, echo the dolphin, super kick off, rugby league, rugby world cup 95, indiana jones, micky mouse castle of illusion and more all great when i was a kid! but the PS3, its a revolution in games. Blu Ray player, HD Games, insana graphics, wireless controls and more. sony have taken video games to a new level. microsoft trying to compete, but they should stick to computers imo. leave the consoles to the masters!

Likewise, it was the first time that a new "generation" felt like a massive improvement upon what was currently on offer at the time. As you said, they created a load of amazing, still-ongoing franchises.

Plus, It had my favourite game in Final Fantasy 7 Clap

PS3 for me. Simply because it was the one that made me get a console. I've never had one before. It does so many things other than play games. I was a PC and Amiga etc before

I can now watch scarlets games on justinTV throught the ps3 onto my big tv. And also stream content from my PC upstairs. It's an amazing bit of kit.

Correct, its also one of the true HD Blue Ray players. Fantastic piece of hardware.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"
