Totally agree about France. Been saying all tournament England hadn't played anyone of note....

It's a disgrace that pundits  say it would be a" missed  opportunity " if England had gone through.Hang on there.,Morocco  are there by right, after deservingly beating two heavyweights in Spain and Portugal.
If France think it's a straight Run to  the final...think again ..Morocco  are a formidable opponent,  even though  the French  will start obviously  favourites !
I agree with GREYPOWER, anyone to win this except the Argies..appalling behaviour in QF against Dutch. They have have been consistently been experts at cheating at major tournaments for years, and are now hiding behind Messi's brilliance. Scumbags
'Come on Croatia'!

Agree missed opportunities....France haven't got out of first gear yet.....they scored creative goals England went looking for penalties....as I've said they are better teams in this World Cup.

The Folkestone French passport control guy was smiling broadly after I handed our documents over with a “Felicitations pour le résultat hier soir. Pour un Gallois et une Écossaise, ça nous a plu aussi”. That was a good effort at 0500 today.

Delighted for our friends over here and will be shouting for them on Wednesday - maybe there’s somewhere communal to see it and hopefully Sunday.

The Brazilian ref allowed too much impossible tackling to let the game develop into the spectacle that it might have become. He seemed extremely reluctant to penalise or manage the “professional” fouls.

It reminded me of the hockey tournament back in the late 80s where the Russian’s coach driver was made to umpire a match (the proper Russian umpire never turned up). It turned out he knew nothing about the rules and was in a hugely unfortunate situation. Luckily, his Scottish colleague was one of the world’s best and umpired all the match apart from the first 2 mins.

Not saying the Brazilian was that bad, however, some of his mistakes and/or refusal to give something that was obviously opposite from his (first) decision brought it to mind.

Don’t watch much football so could be completely wrong re what goes for normal.

Thought the Argies looked really dangerous last night....my thoughts Argies v Frogs final.
The only problem with the French is their back four defence, clumsy and stupid and because of injuries they are definitely in because they have no one else.

Want the French to win the final but Messi knows its last chance saloon for this medal and he will get pens against the French backline.
On another note the French haven't got out of 1st gear yet.....so intriguing.

Ive backed argies before it all started , the majority are backing the frogs but I dont see it myself. Argies are technically better than anyone imo....Yes they have the best player ever, but theres a lot of quality around him too....800 passes in their polish victory is the highest ever recorded in world cup football, which says a lot about their technical quality.

Messi is the best on any measurement ( I cant judge pre 1975 as I wasnt around lol)....most trophies, best technically ,his movement, his goals, goal assists, tracking back, winning possession, his no look assing, corners, free kicks, dribbling, versatility, the sheer number of times he has the ball....Hes also good in the air for a little fella...Oh and incredible longevity...1003 games at the very elite level , 790 goals , 340 goal assists...ridiculous

Theyve also got the best and biggest group of fans too...So argies all the way for me

Only player to touch Messi in my opinion was Pele. He was pure class - the movement & grace of a panther.

Sorry don't want Argies to win....France I still believe are not even getting into gear yet....they have been bad up to the finals but turn it on when it matters. Messi makes them tick and is simply class but what is clear it will be a fascinating final...really looking forward to it.

On another note I mentioned that France defence were rubbish but the last game against Morocco it was really good and Morocco have superb footballers the passing and thinking and running and spot on sweet passing was comparable with the Argies and France dealt with them.

Looking forward to it and I bet on France 4 months back France to win it even though they are missing star players...take Messi out of Argentina and they are plain ordinary.

The french looked leaden footed in the english game....They could and perhaps shuld have conceded 4 penalties and a few red cards...The referee was appalling and failed to check VAR several times. The fleet footed argies will be looking to exploit that to the fullest , look out for some choreographed diving in the penalty area lol
