* 36 Quai des Orfèvres - great French cop thriller with Auteil and Depardieu.
* Waltz with Bashir - cracking Israeli animated documentary.
* Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - the Swedish version based on Steig Larsson's novel.
* Black Book - cracking wartime thriller directed by Paul Verhoeven.

Get in there, Evans!

Motorcycle Diaries is a cracking film, about che guevara's trip around south america with his mate on a motorbike, i'll second Pan's Labarynith as a great film as well.

Great film. The Che films with Benicio Del Torro are also very good.

Another good one is the Italian film My Brother is an Only Child, about two brothers just south of Rome who get involved with two opposing sides of the political spectrum

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"

Old news, son. Seen all them on Alex Cox's Videodrome in the 80s. And you missed out "Gateau Ponce" and "Battleship Pretentious".

Saw this last night. It is quite brilliant. Very gory and harrowing though. Not what I usually go for but a visually amazing film as well as being well acted.

Next up....I need to see "The Good, The Bad, and The Weird"
