I just thought that I'd post this picture on here as I think it's a great photo!! To me it shows how good a bond the players seem to have in the Wales squad at the moment!! ClapClapClap

In all seriousness, does anyone else feel that these five could all start for the Lions next year?? On current form I'd say yes. ClapClapClap

Let's not get carried away. Rhys had a shocker today. Although it was excellent management by Gatland to keep him on when the whole of Wales was shouting for Stevo to come on.

OK, bar Rhys who didn't have a great game today - the others are IMO the best in GB & I in their positions at the moment and must be shoe-ins for a Lions test spot.

As far as FH goes, there is Sexton and O'Gara in Ireland and Farrell for England, there is no one else to rival Rhys appart from these players for the Lions.

The only draw back is will 1/2p make the Lions squad as a FB, otherwise they may go for a 10 who's a better place kicker than Rhys.

Rhys is still first choice for the Lions as far as I can tel.  This wasn't his best game, but it wasn't as bad as some might think either.

His kicking out of hand and at goal will have to significantly improve before he's a first choice lion. let's give the guy a break before laying that pressure on him, he hasn't even had the no10 shirt for a year yet.

His trajectory is all wrong, a lot of his kicks over the past few seasons have been charged down, but it was good of Gatland to keep him on after the yellow card, so it's pay back time for the next two games

His kicking out of hand is superb, although he wasn't at his best yesterday.  As for heaping pressure on him; he's already carrying the label of being the best 10 in the RWC, and thats from neutral pundits, not this message board.. Smile

I'd say Sexton's ahead of him. Both need to improve though.

It's one of the lions positions that's up for grabs. Hope Rhys can put his hand up and grasp it.

If young Farrell carrys on improving in the manner he is he will be in with a shout. Very solid performances for England so far for someone so young.

At the moment he has the advantage over RP in that Farrell is a reliable place kicker. I guess though it depends on who they choose at FB and whether they consider playing combos who know each others game well.
