With two spaniels to look after it is very rare that Mrs GPR & I get to go away but I have just booked our hotel for the Cardigan Food Festival which takes place this year on 17th August. Anyone with any experience of this or recommendations your comments would be most welcome.

Your spaniels will be delighted at where you’re taking them.

Brilliant food in the accommodation and spending all that time looking at and sampling more food will be their idea of heaven.Big smile

Junior went last year. Enjoyed immensely. Food options out of this world.

The Cliff is a super venue, just a word of caution. It’s a hugely popular wedding venue so be prepared !

It may be their idea of heaven but the carnage they would create is not ours!!!! My daughter & partner are on spaniel patrol duty for one night so that Mrs GPR & I can relax.

Looking forward to the food festival on Saturday. Will report back. The list of participants is very impressive - a real array of World foods. We will not forget our must have for a food festival - cool bags!!!!

Also booked a table for dinner at Manucci's Italian so probably a good idea to go light on food intake on Friday. Only problem is we have planned for a rotisserie cooked topside of beef that night as weather forecast is good. Oh well, never mind!!!!!

Big fan of food festivals but I will be honest, I think they have struggled somewhat since the pandemic.

Was expecting something a step up from the Lampeter Food Festival but didn't get it. In fact the Lampeter festival had a similar number of stalls but was set in a much better setting. I am afraid the Cardigan site is looking a little weary.
