My dad died very unexpectedly last week.

Was a huge rugby fan, Scarlets season ticket holder for many years, debenture holder at principality, loved playing when younger, reffing for youth teams, watching home and away as well as giving out his many many opinions on it all.

Owen, please accept our condolences. It looks like he was someone that put a lot of joy in people’s lives and made a positive difference to those around him.

Much to be thankful for and a glass will be raised in tribute.

My sincere condolences regarding your dad... clearly a "Scarlets Supporting legend".
Lovely the attached pictures, thanks for sharing with us.
Particularly enjoyed the Stradey ones, because I loved the Scarlets Café too.

May these happy memories sustain you at this sad time for yourself and the family.

It's amazing how many faces I've seen through all the years , we have all watched the Scarlets. At Stradey the familiar faces on the tanner bank, the Town end, even the Pwll End, you remember faces that stood, usually at exactly the same place.

We all have our favourite places, we did at Stradey Parc. We all do now at Parc Y Scarlets. We see so many faces, perhaps we don't speak, but a knowing nod, a smile or just a look . We all have seen hundreds of familiar faces in their Scarlet colours, or not but as i mentioned earlier today about another gentleman,  who has passed , with your photos I knew your dad's face , a fellow passionate and cherished part of the history of our club.

We all play our part in keeping my dad's and your dad's love of the club continuing through all of us, you and me and thousands and thousands of others since 1872 ....

I'm so sorry for your loss Sir, my deepest condolences to you and your family and your friends.

I’m immensely sorry for your loss, I don’t have any words to offer you and your loved ones, other than he looks like a legend & cherish the good times.

Thank you all for your kind words.

He loved the Scarlets so much.

We travelled all over to watch, pretty much every club ground in Wales (pre regions), lots of European games in England, some games in Ireland and Scotland and a few in France.

He was there for the Toulouse game, that was one of his favourites....also there for the Tim Stimpson game, which was one of the worst 😂

But his favourite was always Stradey Park, we had patrons season tickets (I think it was called that?) so used to always have a bacon roll in moonies cafe first then a drink in the Patrons bar.

Wonderful stuff, I the these special memories  sustain you.
My dad and myself ironically,  did EXACTLY  the same,  a bacon roll in Scarlets  cafe, then straight  over the Patrons bar.
Happy days !
It was in the Patrons bar, that we first met Simon Easterby,  shortly after  his move to Leeds.  In those days players had to do a tour  of duty in the Patrons  bar, and this was his turn on the rota.
We were impressed with him. The rest that  followed speaks for itself.

Best wishes to you Owen,  and the family
