Why are we the only Region not to back the Ospreys?
Surely no one wants to see a region go....
Just seen on X but cant paste it.

Not everything that's happened in the last year will be in the public domain, and Crys' previous actions, or lack thereof in this instance, have had to be made public due to their nature unfortunately.

It may see us as being small-minded or the bad guys, but I trust the people running it know why they've made the decisions they have.

The WRU proposal is for a teams in Cardiff, the east and one in the west. It’s easy for the Dragons and Cardiff to support the one true region as their futures are guaranteed. It’s clearly us or them. I know where I stand. Scarlets till I die.

The current Crys board are not fit for purpose, making us look like idiots when the other three have shown a united front. All this walking alone crap will bite us in the end when we need support from the other clubs and they will tell us to do one.

The WRU have decided that one of us and the Ospreys are going to be culled. It would be a bit silly of us to back the Ospreys given that fact.

We’re all making £million losses and have uncompetitive squads, so we do want a reduction to 3 regions. We all know that the Ospreys shouldn’t be the team to go, and who should’ve been the team to go, but the WRU have decided. Come 2027/28 one of us and the Ospreys are gone, and I would very much rather it was not us.

Playing devil’s advocate. Say we join the others and support this action, it could lead to the decision on the Ospreys being reversed and we end up going to a tender process - suddenly our chances of disappearing increase quite significantly.

On the whole I’d be in favour of joining the others in this instance, but can see the thinking.
Please don't take my Scarlets away

Sometimes diplomacy and tact wins. We’ve already got an awful name for objecting to the St Helen’s refurb snd we’re now the only supporters group not to sign this statement.
I know it’s survival of the fittest and the WRU have pitched Ospreys against Scarlets but sometimes you need to go with the prevailing wind. This is a mistake.
Y11 are flaky at the best of times and have, more than once, pulled out of deals. If the purchase of Cardiff falls through, expect no friends and the other 3 regions will now happily see us sacrificed.
Crys have, once again, made the wrong call.

Walking alone is the reason we currently watch the Scarlets in Llanelli and not the Swansea bay Seahawks in Swansea

As someone on X said, CF10 are only supporting the petition simply because they don’t want Y11.

This will test Y11’s resolve. They may well walk away from the O’s. Where do they go then?

Exactly.

I checked earlier whether their supporters group promoted the online petition we had at the start of the season; Nope! We didn’t moan about that and rightly so.

Promoting their petition whilst secretly hoping it was unsuccessful would’ve been dishonest.

Completely see where you're coming from and at the same time disagree that its the wrong call.
This is survival of the fittest, shots have been fired from both sides and now its time to stand our ground.

Kirsti was at the Ulster game last week. She sat alongside Muderak in the South Stand.

By the way, this line of ‘where is HoL’ is a line repeated by a number of O’s fans.
