Howard Thomas with the kicks and Viv jenkins and Eifion (?) Howells with the tries. The second in the last minute of injury time to level the scores. The conversion won it.

Well done Llandovery. You certainly deserved the win.

Did anyone else think the ref was biased against Llandovery. Three points stick in the mind.

1.  He gave a yellow card to a Llandovery player for coming into a ruck at the wrong side when there wasn't even a ruck!

2.  With 5 mins left he shouts "Hands off". Half a second later a Cardiff player picks up the ball, and he didn't even penalise him!

3.  A Llandovery player was tackled a metre short of the try line. A Cardiff player slowed down the ball by lying on the wrong side, but the ref immediately penalised Llandovery. 30 seconds, and two penalties later, Cardiff have the field position to put themselves in the lead (in injury time)!!!

With almost 80 minutes on the clock, the commentator said that the ref had only given 1 penalty against Cardiff.

Nail biting last few minutes, and a well deserved win. Great, absolutely great.

Made me glow with pleasure to think of Peter Pies' face at the final whistle.

They would have won it anyway even if the conversion had not gone over. They scored 2 tries to NIL. Cardiff never looked like scoring atry. Hugh Watkins should be shot, second crap display within a week.

I bet Phil John is wishing he'd thrown a dummy for Llandovery's last try. Not many props get to score the winner in a cup final!

I wondered if he did it deliberately to allow a 'real' Llandovery team player the honour. There was a monster overlap at the time.
