I'm going to the Millenium Centre Thursday evening, is parking still ok around the Coal Exchange area? Or anyone got any suggestions for cheap (preferably free!) parking? I won't entertain suggestions of Loudon Square......

Why dont you park by the Evolution nite club and where the resturants and cinemas are and walk across the road to the centre. Your not going to watch Billy Conelly by any chance are you? Im going Friday.

I'll be there Friday as well! Don't give too much away after Thursday please no.6!!

The Cinema complex is the best bet. Easy access to the link road afterwards as well.

Should be alright to park on one of the spaces on Mount Stuart Square (Coal Exc). Alternatively the NCP opposite Techniquest is a 5 minute walk to WMC and pretty cheap.

He never does the same show twice! He might repeat bits and bobs but he's pretty much an "on the night" artist. I saw him a few years ago in Hammersmith, can't recall more than a minute of his routine (you try and recall the details the day after his show, try it!), I can recall nearly p##sing myself laughing for nearly two hours though. By far the best stand up/spoken word act i've ever seen, and i've seen some good ones, Leary/Carrot (seriously, a superb act!)/Skinner/Coogan (prob a close second to Billy)/Rollins/Sparkes/Punt and Dennis when they were good/Malcom Hardee/Pete Lloyd etc.

Thanks for the parking advice everyone, appreciated.

I saw Lee Evans in the CIA 2 years ago - Billy will have to be good to beat that! He was awesome. Non-stop for 2.5 hours, brilliant.

Most disappointing I've seen is Jack Dee in St Davids Hall about 5 years ago. Too much ego not enough material.

Billy did two and a quarter hours, haven't laughed so much since the last time I saw him. You're in for a treat guys! True to form, you won't really be able to quote much, but I hope he repeats his demonstration on how to tell people to f### off properly:)

Cracking venue, first time i've been there, I was nearly at the back and it was blydi high and steep!
