http://www.scarlets.co.uk/features/NewsDetails.aspx?ID=330

We have today received from Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) the news that the application by a local resident for our training pitches to be classed as Village Green has been rejected by the independent inspector at the recent Public Inquiry. This means that we are now able to proceed with the sale of that land, subject to CCC accepting the advise of the independent inspector at a full meeting of the council next Wednesday 14th November.

To all of you who gave evidence on Scarlets behalf a big thank you.

If they had anything that could stop the building they would have played it by now.

someone mentioned previously that they were considering a right of way application?  We all knew (even the did) that the village green was a non-goer, but it didn't stop them trying!

As I said on a different website / forum

Isnt there talk of a right of way application?  How long's that going to take?

There was rumours of it on some websites.

However I not sure how serious they are.

Also it will be a housing estate with roads and pavements. So as long as the access points are still accessable they can walk through the estate.
