If you guys haven't seen, then to let you know, we recieved this message this afternoon....

Hi All,

Further to recent conversations and your email of 7th April, I would propose one of the following dates for a meeting here at Stradey with members of the Supporters Trust and Stuart at 6pm:

Thursday 11th May

Tuesday 16th May

Wednesday 17th May

Please could you advise which date is most suitable.

Regards

Julie

Cheers Wiz. Any preferences guys? I'd probably suggest that the 11th would be a little late to arrange though. Do we need to meet again prior to the meeting with SG?

ok so unless anyone is against that date then we should let the club know asap,  Gar do you want to emailed the club back with that date.

Also do we need a meet up before hand.

I misread the dates before, so theres less time between now and the 16th than I thought.

Extra...

On the reread, I cant see a reply from abbey or taffscarlet, anyone got their numbers or give them an email

After reading this thread, I e-mailed Richard Lillicrap, Supporters Direct,  to ask if he would be prepared to give us some time prior to our meeting with S.G. He hasn't replied as yet. If it was possible to meet him before meeting Stuart I'm sure we'd gain a lot of info.

Fair play to the guy, he's just replied

Hi Barrie,

I'm jiggered sadly.   For some reason it did not occur to any of us that the 1st leg could be a Thursday.   I have three commitments that evening so cannot make it down to Swansea.   And of course the away leg is early Sunday.

I'm sorry about that.

I am office based for tomorrow and Friday.   020 8255 8090 will get me.   If you have time during the day please call and I can at least act as a sounding board and give you some opinions!    It is always your choice to accept or reject anything we might say.

Not as good as face to face but if you are meeting the Chief Exec you will only be talking broad strategy I guess.   Hopefully, even with a phone conversation, I should be able to fill in the broad areas of how a Trust can work and what it can reasonably expect to achieve.

Tomorrow may be the best day to call in case my emotional balance is disturbed by the first leg result.

Best wishes

Richard

I can't do any of the dates suggested; go ahead without me.
Good piece on the blog, BTW Dorian; balanced, considerate and right.

I feel a bit of a fraud after missing the last two meetings (unavoidable unfortunately, as I've been so wrapped up in work trying to ensure that my department doesn't go through the round of redundancies that the English NHS have - although I'm sure that Rhodri wouldn't allow it for political reasons!).

Anyway, for the record I could do any date (although tonight would be a bit short notice!!) with a preference for the 17th.

However, we don't need to go in mob handed and a selection would be fine. I'm here if you need or want me to attend - which I would be more than happy to do.

Ok, shall we say Tuesday 16th May? as Weds is a problem for some?
I'm easy with either.
I have blydi Jury duty in Carmarthen next week, but apart from that my diary is empty.

Abbey, it would be great if you were present. It would reinforce the fact that we are a cross section of fans and not just the remains of the Supporters Club or forum members who are involved etc.
In fact I don't see a problem with all of us attending.

I shall make all efforts.

Don't laugh - but the wife has got herself into an audition for a new game show by Ant and Dec in Cardiff on Tuesday afternoon. I assume that it will be all over by the evening. You never know, she could get picked to be on the programme (they say that the TV puts on half a stone - I'll say no more..............)

What kind of time do you reckon he'd want to meet as I would struggle to make it before 7pm?
