Sri Lanka getting shredded by a SA attack for their lowest ever T20 score ( 77)

No demons in the pitch really., little bit of swing and bounce.

Mostly modest shots by the SLtop order.

Not sure about that will, whilst there were some awful shots... the pitch seemed to give uneven unpredictable bounce..They built the 34000 stadium in  months and grew the pitch in florida and flew it in apparently ...only in america lol .

The sri lankans all at sea and the boks paceman at over 90mph having a field day....Really hope batsmen in the upcoming NYC games can get used to the pitch. Bit of chat that ICC have overpriced some matches. Ground looked about half full.

The matches thus far have been great overall and pretty varied....The USA win was simply epic , 10 sixes in an innings is a world cup record, looked like about 8000 there but good atmosphere....windies struggled past PNG and ....Namibia Oman was a remarkable tied game won in the shoot out...afghans hammered uganda

Just delighted to see the smaller nations get a shot and put up strong competition
and lots of fans from various countries attended matches not involving their own sides
Not sure that happens in other sporting world cups , or does it?

Yes I take it back...if de Kock couldn't master it there's clearly something salty about the ball coming on to the bat.

The luck of the Irish is elsewhere than New York.

Not only have Ireland been bowled out for under 100 on a spiteful pitch, with several of their batters hit by bigger than predicted bounce of the pitch, India are romping to victory and they’ve even got 3 not out batsmen. Update they won 97/2 in 12.2 overs.

If that’s not a target for an Irish TMO, i don’t know what is, although first, they’ve got to think about what the rugby equivalent would be.

EDIT

I’ve a picture of the scorecard but have failed to insert it into the post.

Secretly a bit chuffed for Uganda in getting a win..

They have so few sports ( other than athletics) on the international scene.

The 7's rugby team have gone well of late, and now cricket too.

Idi Amin's regime chased out all the Indian sub content diaspora from the country in the 70's, it's great to see many now back...at the end of the day they are Ugandan residents.

Pakistan deserved feat they got as did the USA.

3 wides in a super over by Pakistan is just rubbish cricket, 18 runs off it and only one boundary (4).

Well done USA, stuck to the task, Pakistan it seems made it easier for them. USA it seems bowled well in the super over. (didn't see it mind)

3 wide deliveries from Pakistan didn't help matters.

A small investment on Pakistan’s first match in an event away from home and against lowly/unfancied opponents often yields this result.

I’ve never placed any money on cricket. The only time i recall betting was on course at race meetings or the office sweepstake.

However, if you look back in the records, you’ll find it illuminating. Zimbabwe away, while they were awful, was always one that made me laugh out loud to see just how poorly the visitors performed in the opening match before resuming normal service.
