announcement of Jeffries and Blacker then maybe a lock, centre and back 3 player perhaps ed kennedy/paul asquith type (quite possibly a 10 too).

I see the u20s lads stepping up especially the locks, back rowers and back 3...not forgetting corey Baldwin as well.

I was joking....I said the same weeks ago, no other big names and honestly no drama in my view. For me the big name is Whiffin and his capacity to develop young talents.
In recent years we lost different names that can have a future with Scarlets. In this Wales u20 there are many boys in whom I believe they can do well...
agreed. though, if mr mooar can get us playing with half the skill of the crusaders and their speed...ill be pretty damn pleased...also looking forward to see delaneys influence with the pack.

I have been pretty critical of our NWQ signings recently but we are not alone. The Ospreys are now considering a 32 year old South African scrum half after releasing Habberfield. You couldn't make it up!!!!!
Shaun Venter is a cracking signing for the Ospreys. Very good player
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

32 Yr old journeyman, good or not.

If you're getting rid of a stalwart it should be with
a) a top class overseas replacement not ageing journeyman.
b) a Welsh qualified replacement.

We have been just as guilty over the years.

No offence but that’s a load of nonsense. With Aled away the Ospreys will have three scrum halves under 23 so having an experienced player will help them. Most of the people criticising Venter’s signing are people who’ve never seen him play before. He’s a very good player

10 years at London Irish before Gloucester where he worked alongside Glenn Delaney. he was head of academy at Gloucester so any player that's broken through Gloucester in last 3yrs.
then you have England u20s. last year or so.

Dane Blacker, Alex Jeffries and Danny Drake.

First two were expected, but hadn’t heard any link to Drake. He’s a 24 year old, 6’4, 113kg second row. He’s played for North Harbour in the Mitre 10 Cup and has been involved with the Auckland Blues training squad.

These are the kind of signings I was hoping Moaar would make. He must see something.

Ollie Thorley is an excellent prospect on the wing. He had his breakthrough this season and will be an England international soon. Can’t think of any more first-team backs. Polledri and Ludlow have come through in the pack.

Huge welcome to Dane, Alex and Danny.

Not sure if there will be anymore...maybe one or two who knows...but we had gaps in the squad that we were lacking in numbers in especially in a world cup year, these lads I'm sure will step up. croeso a pob lwc.

I believe that we have the talent already, in Steff Evans, Steff Hughes, Ioan Nicholas, Corey Baldwin, Ryan Conbeer, Tomi Lewis, Dan Jones, Kieran Hardy. Apologies to any that I've overlooked.

If Whiffen can get these boys to add 5-10% to their game, then we'll be alright I think.

3 players of promise by the look of it. good reports on blacker and Jefferies, know nothing about drake but hopefully bit like ed kennedy, one to develop into a roll. wonder if he has any welsh relatives?
Once a Scarlet, always a Scarlet!
