Yeah has got to be - none of the Welsh regions would be able to offer anything. Maybe the dragons. He’d do a job wherever he goes post-2023. Of the current crop of welsh players I think he will make the best coach.

That’s a good call, his defensive work and kicking game is second to none in the modern game - he could pass on that to many up and coming halfbacks. Just look at the current crop of halfbacks in the Scarlets squad, none of them have a solid kicking game, and are not great defensively either.
I too se him moving overseas next season as the Premiership has its own issues with stability- London Irish and Newcastle Falcons the latest to be seen as struggling to survive the rest of this season. If it carries on like this they will be begging all the welsh regions to join.

Edinburgh 19-22 Lions. Thoroughly entertaining, Lions simply wouldn't quit, deserved the win. Brave in defence especially against the excellent Mata. Commentators emphasised how young the Lions are and they've won three away already.
Only second home defeat fo Edinburgh in ages and their 3rd try should have been disallowed for their winger being in front of the kicker. John Barclay was a very good contributer to the commentary.

Rowntree's love affair with Limerick losing its shine rapidly. Munster's power brokers won't put up with their position in the table for much longer thats for sure. All 4 South African teams are showing up well even without their Internationals. We really need to put together a run of performances over the next 3 games as the challenges will start to get a lot tougher after that.

What can we make of Booth's selection for the Ulster game? Confidence in your squad or lambs to the slaughter? Perhaps Booth is relying on the fact that Ulster's players will have already played the game in their minds last night & will be mentally exhausted by the time a very unusual kick off time for them in Belfast comes about.
My own view is that this is one the games Booth believes is unwinnable and has selected accordingly. If he comes home with a LBP whilst limiting Ulster to only 4 points for the win I think he will be pleased.

Cant see many restless nights in Ulster because it’s a Saturday evening KO, they have already played Connacht in a similar time.
Rather put a positive spin and say an extra days recovery. Ulster missing a number of Emerging Ireland players who would probably have featured in the squad for this match, missing are Balacoune,Doak, Stewart Moore , Mc Cann and Stewart . Also Izzy, McDonald and Flannery would have been there or thereabouts. Plenty of experience in the team selected with Madigan Murphy and Vermuelin coming into the side. I think that Toby Booth has had a dose of reality and realises he is going to fortress Kingspan. Not many teams relish the prospect of a visit here. If in doubt ask Dwayne Peel how often he was involved with a home defeat at Ulster.

Emerging Ireland play the Cheetahs on Sunday & can be picked up on Utube.
Could be a case of the Master and the Apprentice facing each other at 9. Nathan spent a number of years as a ball boy at Ravenhill and use to field the ball for Ruane when he was warming up his place kicking. He freely admits to having learned from watching Ruane close up. They are both tall for a scrum half and can both cover out half.

Easy to be arrogant about a home record when you've been the beneficiary of some of the most questionable decisions in the history of professional sport.
