Our flight to Bilbao from Bristol has been cancelled so 3 less Scarlets fans in Bayonne. Very disappointing.

Looks like up to 12 fixtures could be affected this weekend due to the disruption in France with either British or Irish teams playing out there or French teams flying out of France and an Italian team having to fly over France. I bet the organisers are well chuffed.

Tomorrow looks to be a very bad day for travel in or to France... less clear how much this will affect Friday:

On the other hand, the blocking of oil refineries seems to be easing, though the situation remains fluid... so maybe driving down is now feasible.

Have just read Le Sud-Ouest, the regional paper for South West France.

They state that there shouldn’t be an issue with fuel stocks.

I noticed that some supporters have booked flights to Bordeaux. I will be passing the airport tomorrow Saturday circa 1pm en route to Bayonne. If anyone has problems with connections from Bordeaux to Bayonne, I have room in the car for 3 people. Please pm me if it helps. Otherwise see you there guys.

Great to hear that 500 odd Scarlets supporters were going to head to Bayonne this weekend, sadly some will not make it because of the French strikes . One couple who have had there flight cancelled from Manchester today,, are hoping to fly from Gatwick tomorrow morning, that is a fantastic effort!

Got that on my kindle. It's next on the list sometime in 2025.

Yep, 5 years to finish War and Peace seens about right LOL. That's one film that ended where it should.

On topic, just landed in Bilbao, driving up to Bayonne tomorrow.

very handy Steve, having Stanstead and Southend in your neck of the woods for Europe 👍 We are still relying on Social media for our rugby news as can’t find S4C in Australia 🇦🇺 😉 Doing our best anyway. Hopefully back for Dragons away .
