AOB scored a try and kicked at least one penalty.

So what is the purpose of Drake? Is he at professional level? I thought he was bound for the Scarlets squad. Have they deemed he is not up to it (at least yet) and given him 12 months at the RFC?

Not knocking the lad, genuinely asking.

I believe that Drake was seen as a project, someone who could be moulded over a period of time, a bit like Ed Kennedy and Jake Ball.
I don’t know how he played today against Aberavon but we need to give him time.

Lets not forget that one Tadgh Beirne spent the first few months of his time playing in the Premiership & that didn't turn out too badly!!!! Drake was seen by Mooar as someone with potential & is being used accordingly.

Drake didn't play yesterday. I was impressed by Kallum Evans at fullback. Both Simon Gardiner and Chris Long played their 100th games for the RFC yesterday.

Drake did play Martin he was lock with Long ,aside of a poor lineout and missed goal kicks five I think ? A very impressive win for the RFC, a very strong scrum a couple of cracking tries and a very good performance by Angus O'Brien in attack and defence .

Of course. I was mixing up with somebody else. I can't keep up with the names of all these new players.

Great to hear about Angus' performance. He needs games as he is going to play an important role for us this season. Who were the props who started?
