No concerns about any squad player releases will have been celebrating too much.
Lots to love about that performance and the match. Much to learn too. We’re now all supporting Scotland.

Tough result. A great effort, nonetheless. Well done.

Liam was perfectly legal. Shocking decision by the ref, and no fault of him. The decision not to award a penalty try from an advancing maul was also terrible, but we should still have won. Truly superb game though. Let’s hope that Scotland don’t get hammered next Friday. With a six day turnaround the ease of Scotland’s win compared to our game could be an important factor for that game however.

Great game, it had everything, red and yellow cards, disallowed tries, 7 tries and 62 points. What a great spectacle. It is ironic that our discipline deserted us in the last 15 minutes, but fair play to France, they threw everything but the kitchen sink at us and forced us into individual errors and ill discipline.
Liam’s yellow was just plain stupid and really sums him up this season. I don’t often agree with much that Martin Johnson says, but I do agree with him that Wales should have had a penalty try in the second half, especially when Wayne Barnes ruled out LRZs finish from the advantage being played by Pierce.

The fact that As it stands the English Premiership sides are not obliged to release the Scottish players sees France as clear favourites. The irony of the French COVID debacle is that their stupidity will probably see them benefit. The lack of action from the governing body to punish them for their stupidity beggars believe. What will happen if Scotland are not allowed to travel as France goes into another national lockdown.

What a game mind , thought we were well in control with say 20 minutes to go but France came back well and I thought we lost our way when they made all the subs particularly taking off Biggar, Ken and Jon Davies who I thought was much better today. Also thought Tomos Williams very poor.
Sheedy was poor when he came on, still not sure about him . A couple of things could have gone differently , surely we should have had a penalty try just before Louis Rees Zammit almost scored in the corner.
Still a marked improvement from the autumn and we can still win the Six Nations depending on France's result against Scotland , I think they have to win by 20 points with 4 tries -is that right? |
