Congrats to Javan called up by Scotland for their upcoming games. Qualifies through his father who was born in Edinburgh. Good job we’ve brought in Will Griff

Congratulations to Jevan!!! Only worry is, we could lose three tight heads during next seasons international windows .

I don’t think Sebastian is good enough to beat out the likes of Simon Berghan, Zander Ferguson or WP Nel to be consistently involved in the Scottish squad yet.

Good for him. Would make sense for him to be playing his trade North of thej Border.

congratulations and good luck to him. good exposure for him...

id echo the concern about it as well that we potentially can be without 3 tightheads during AI/6N... plus will he now become a NWQ player? or due to him being our product, does he bypass that somehow?

as for not being consistently in the squad ahead of the 3 mentioned Scottish tightheads, Nel is 35 now, with Javan coming up to 27...Not sure how younger scottish tightheads are progressing, but it looks like Sebastian might be being looked at as 3rd or 4th option for Scotland.

Well I wish him the best, but I seriously hope he won’t end up like Blade, called away half the season. Should have considered keeping Scholtz too.

Much depends on whether Lee returns, and how effective he is, if and when he does.

Not sure Will Griff will be in Wales' plans with Francis, Lewis and Brown ahead of him.

But one injury to those mentioned and he’ll get called up.
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

On the subject of Blade. He's not in the Scotland squad (as far as I could see). Some folk on here talked about a concussion prone Blade, forgoing his international duties to gain an extended contract with us. No idea if true, just a taking point.

He was listed as “injured” in the very last squad posting we had for the Cardiff match, not sure if he’s long term injured and affecting his call up?

TH depth isn’t great.
Lee is a ???
WGJ will very likely at least be involved in the squad and not play as it is for Elias
Javan now likely to be pulled away by Scotland
Jeffries it is?

We will miss Werner badly, such a reliable guy.

We need a Josh Turnbull version of a prop and second row and 8 we don’t get swept up my international call ups ! Werner was our nearest version . Losing Sebastian is a bit of disaster tbh

As others have said congratulations to him, it’s well deserved. I however don’t see him being involved in the Scotland squad in the long term. He IMO is a solid club player but doesn’t seem an international quality player when full squads are chosen. I’d love to be proven wrong but at the moment I’m not worried from a Scarlets’ POV.

And being positive the exposure to new forwards coaches and players in camp will hopefully just make him a better player. Let’s hope so for everyone’s sake
