Thanks for this - never seen his stuff on YouTube before but I just watched his analysis of Wales vs Scotland. Very good stuff

Would be great but our scrummaging is sound with Wyn and Francis. If we give away parity at the scrum we’re f***ed, even if it means our attack suffers

Spot on, scrummaging ability has to be the top priority. Adam Jones was in no way a carrier, in fact I always thought he offered little around the park. But he was our first choice tighthead for a number of years, and rightly so in my opinion, because of his scrummaging ability.

Bomb was a weapon - he often dominated scrums earning valuable penalties. Francis is not in the same league. If, big if, Brown can hold the scrum he would contribute so much more around the field.

The irony I find with this thread is that there’s been a few Scrum v is rubbish threads over the years which makes the has gone awful funny. Not forgetting the thread wanting it back when it went. 😂

Our attacking play seems unstructured/unplanned. Support lines just aren't being run. The French and Irish seem to flood the danger areas either side of the player making the break hence they finish off more opportunities. If our props were out carried by Sinckler & Genge wait until Baille & friends arrive in Cardiff. Add in Marchand's work at the breadown & that is one hell of a front row.

Its incredible to see no runners on the shoulders of the player making the break, stephen jones should be tearing his hair out.

To be able to carry the ball Wales need possession and the props need to be given the ball. England clearly had a tactics of giving their props the ball to carry, whilst Wales clearly did not. Things improved in the second half as the English forwards faded and the Welsh pack came into the game.
I read a comment on line that Wyn Jones managed 15 tackles on Saturday, I dont know whether anyone here can substantiate that stat. If this is true, he managed just 2 less than Faletau who was Wales top tackler but in just 45 mins on pitch.

Well there SHOULD be a welsh focussed rugby show on the BBC … it just SHOULD be better LOL

Across all formats it’s declined TV Show, Podcast etc

It’s saying something when you get better analysis from the generic BBC 6N team and the Rugby Union Weekly pod than BBC wales efforts

The show is trying and failing to be hip and cool...far better stick to basics. Deliver a few facts on matches then discuss the facts. They cant even get the selection discussion right. Theyll ask josh who would he pick at prop, then shanklin who wold he pick at 9....Just get them all to pick their match day teams then discuss their selections then move on. Thats the way its always worked and takes less time. If the pundits are there to give opinions lets hear the opinions not shut them down or force feed them some scripted answers. And please dont send shanklin around town asking random people some innane pub quiz questionThumbs Up Compare this to sky sports where gary neville , jamie carragher , micah richards and keane , sounness and co are going at it hammer and tongs...giving great insights , genuine opinions and proper tidy banter not some manifactured pre-scripted stale bbc drivel

We don’t need two presenters, we don&t need those dire “comedy” skits we don’t need that video wall, we don’t need 4 pundits espec when two are awful (charvis was good phillipa was excellent as usual) the other two were dross as usual. Sq beem cut from the team this year? Hartley and jiffy as two pundits and ugo as the  1 presenter on bbc rugby special  makes a far better show
