Boks have named a very strong 23. 6/2 split on the bench with Mostaert starting at 6 & Wiese at 8. Willemse, Kolbe & Mapimpi hell of a running back 3. No excuses if they lose.

Kitsoff, Marx and Kock is some replacement front row. If our replacement front row can simply hold their own in the scrums they will have done some job. Unfortunately I can’t see anything other than pretty much every scrum being a SA penalty all game.

As I mentioned on the other thread, I don't think Carre is anywhere near a international scrummager & whilst people are clamouring for him to start I think it will be Wyn. Hooker wise, I think Elias will edge it, as he is a bit more experienced, but can understand if Lake is picked & Francis is a certainty. Locks wise, it has to be Beard & Rowlands though why have AWJ on tour if you're not going to play him. Back row wise I'd like to see Navidi at 6 but I suspect it will be Lydiate with Basham & Faletau.

Moving to the backs, half backs will be T.Williams & Biggar with Tomkins & North in the centres & then LRZ, Adams & L.Williams making up the back 3.

Apart from the Wales on line which shows big love for anything Cardiff I don’t know of anyone else clamouring for Rhys Carre to be picked in front of both Wyn and Thomas.
Anyone who does is not living in the real world.
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.

Wales online  surpassing themselves, calling replacements "riding the pine" as opposed to on the bench. Infantile reporting standards from the newspaper of Wales.
Keep the faith

Wyn hasn’t fully recovered from his injury if he’s been left out.

I can only go by what Stephen Jones said earlier this week that they have a fully fit, healthy squad to choose from. Usual pig's breakfast from Pivac in selection. No consistency in message. The two players with the least amount of preparation time start. Carre, according to WOL, improved his form incredibly over the final few weeks of the URC. I must admit I didn't see it in the two games against us or indeed when he didn't even attempt a tackle against Benetton which led to one of the most embarrassing regional results since the game went pro.

Both Dillon Lewis and Carre are in for a very searching examination on Saturday. I sincerely hope they prove most of us posters wrong.

Hardy selected because he’s the fittest imo- playing at altitude remember.

If he can maintain quick ball there’s a limit to how much their big pack can get around the park.

Scrum time they will absolutely crush us - can see a yellow card for Lewis et al.

Excited to see Reffel given a go

Channel one ball, pick up by Faletau everytime, no waiting for Hardy to get there.

By the time the bench come on, the ref will have made his mind up, and any 50/50's will still go SA's way.
