Just saw the squad for the u20s summer series final and was shocked to see little representation from Scarlets. None in the starting XV.

Any insights into this?

Squad from WOL below:

Replacements: Efan Daniel (Cardiff Rugby), Cameron Jones (Ospreys), Adam Williams (Cardiff Rugby), Mackenzie Martin (Cardiff Rugby), Morgan Morse (Ospreys), Luke Davies (Llanelli), Josh Phillips (Scarlets), Joe Westwood (Dragons RFC), Iestyn Hopkins (Ospreys), Caleb Salmon (Scarlets), Morgan Veness (Ealing Trailfinders)

Awful if you’re Welsh They are just superior and stronger in all respects . The team will learn from this of course.

We were on the back foot all game. To battle out 4 tries showed great commitment tbf but also we saw the gulf between two teams in open play. I was relieved and pleased that our scrum held up as did our line outs v a big side. Good tour for the young guys but sadly not many future Scarlets on show!

Our line-out was good but the Boks didn't  compete on our throw and the ref was often lenient with the throw in.  Having said that, our pack stood up and battled hard all game.  Our pool of players is tiny compared to South Africa's so taking that into account the display provides hope for the future.
Keep the faith

One of my bugbears for the game, if the lineout is not straight but the opposition don't oppose, then play on!!!

Considering how little rugby our youngsters have payed in the last 2 years, that was a good performance overall.  Better than England!!

These results need to be taken with a large pinch of salt for me as I am not 100% we would have beaten all the sides in the other pool.

Nonetheless it will be pretty good for confidence in the group.
